European Lactol (special hot cream)

At our New York Nail Salon, try our European Lactol Manicure, which is just like our Regular Manicure. Instead of using hot water, it uses a special hot cream to give the added bonus of moisturizing your hands and strengthening your nails.

This manicure involves maintaining the health of natural nails and hands. It uses a multi-step process to ensure your hands are clean, moisturized and (if you choose) polished. The natural nails are filed and cut as needed, in order to create a nice and even shape, and then buffed to ensure a smooth surface.

Next, the hands are soaked in the luscious hot cream to loosen the skin around your nails. Once soaked, the cuticles are cut or pushed back. Prior to applying nail polish, we massage and moisturize your hands. If you want your nails polished, we apply a base coat before polishing, and then after polishing, we apply a top coat to seal in the color. The manicure generally lasts 5-7 days, depending upon the amount of active use your hands receive on a daily basis.
